Privacy policy

Short version: no ads, no trackers, no cookies. We store what we need to show you your matches and replays. If you want something deleted, send an email to support@moyaics2.com.

Who is responsible

Toni Berthold, address in the imprint, support@moyaics2.com.

When you open the site

moyaics2.com runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Cloudflare handles the domain's DNS and may sit in front of the site to deliver and protect it. Replay files are served from Cloudflare R2 under replays.moyaics2.com. To deliver a page, these providers see technical data like your IP address. Our server logs record your IP address, the time and the requested address. We only look at them to fix errors and stop abuse, and keep them only as long as that takes.

What your browser keeps

We set no cookies and use no analytics or ad trackers. Fonts come from our own server. Your browser stores a few things on your device: your login token so you stay signed in, demos you opened from your own files so they load faster next time, and team logos. If you open an invite link (a code after ?ref=), the code is kept until you sign in. Only the token is sent to us, with your requests; an invite code goes to us when you sign in. Logging out removes the token, and you can clear the rest in your browser settings.

Signing in with FACEIT

You sign in through FACEIT, and FACEIT asks for your consent. We then receive and store your FACEIT player ID, nickname, avatar, email address, the Steam ID linked to your FACEIT account and an access token. We use them to show your profile and your latest matches and to load the demos of those matches. We don't send newsletters or marketing emails.

Replays and the players in them

A CS2 demo records the whole match: the in-game names and Steam IDs of all ten players, what they did each round and the team voice chat, which the 2D replay can play back. This applies to every player in the match, not only the one who opened it.

We get demos from players: uploaded here, or sent from a match through our browser extension. We check an uploaded FACEIT demo against FACEIT's match record, turn it into a 2D replay and then delete the raw demo file. Replays are not listed anywhere, but anyone with the link can open them, the same as on other demo sites.

If you show up in a replay and want your name removed or the replay taken down, write to support@moyaics2.com with the match link. We check every request and reply within a few days.

Uploading your own demo

An uploaded demo is processed on our server and deleted right after. The replay goes back to your browser and is stored only there. The voice chat tracks from the demo stay on our server for up to 24 hours so the replay can play them, then they are deleted.

It is different when you upload a FACEIT demo on the replay page of that match. We check that the map and players match FACEIT's record, then treat it like any other FACEIT replay: it is built on our server, stored and can be opened by anyone with the link. The raw demo file is deleted once the replay is built.

AI Coach

The AI Coach builds its report from the numbers of one match, using fixed rules. If the text polish is switched on, the in-game name, map, result and stats of that match are sent to Anthropic, a US company, which writes the wording of the report. No Steam ID, email address or FACEIT token goes with it. Anthropic does not get your account data.

Player Study and progress

To show your progress and your Player Study, we keep a list of the matches you uploaded or opened with your account: the FACEIT match ID, the time and the map. The study is only built from those matches and is only shown to you.

Invites

If you share your invite link and a friend signs up with it, we store who invited whom. You see your friend's nickname and how many matches they have opened, and your friend sees your nickname on the invite page. Free Moyai days are credited to both accounts.

Leaderboard

If you have a moyaics2.com account, you take part in the leaderboard by default once you have played enough analysed matches. It shows your FACEIT nickname, avatar and the stats we calculated from your matches to other signed-in Moyai members. The boards are not open yet: until they are, we only calculate and store these stats and nobody sees them. Switch "Show me on the leaderboard" off on the leaderboard page and you are removed right away. Your replays stay as they are.

Paid plans

Paddle is our reseller and takes the payment. It receives your payment details, name, email address and billing country and is responsible for them under its own privacy policy. We only receive the status of your plan and the IDs we need to match a payment to your account. Card data never reaches our server. The checkout script is only loaded from Paddle's servers when you press a buy button, and Paddle may store its own cookies or similar data there under its privacy policy.

Moyai frame on FACEIT: while you have a paid plan, your FACEIT nickname is on a public list at moyaics2.com/api/billing/moyais. The browser extension downloads it and draws a yellow frame around your avatar on faceit.com, so anyone can see that you have a plan. It is on by default. Press "Hide my frame" on the pricing page and your nickname leaves the list; the change reaches the extension within a few hours. Moyai days from invites do not put you on the list.

Browser extension

The moyaics2 extension shows extra information on FACEIT. What it displays about the players in a room comes straight from FACEIT's own API in your browser and never goes to our server. From moyaics2.com it loads, every few hours and without cookies or an ID, a small settings file and the public list of Moyai frames (see Paid plans). In a finished room it asks us for the match summary. If you are logged in at moyaics2.com, a live room you play in also asks us for the goal for your next match, which is read from your own analysed matches. If you press Watch demo in a match room, the demo you downloaded is sent to us for the 2D replay, which you can switch off in the extension. Your settings, notes and session Elo stay on your device.

Email, Discord and coaching

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. Mail to support@moyaics2.com goes through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Google (Gmail) inbox. Our Discord server is run by Discord, and the coaching community planned on skool.com will be run by skool once it opens. Their own privacy policies apply there.

How long we keep things

Your account data stays while you use moyaics2.com. Write to us and we delete it. Replays stay available until we take them down, for example because a player asks us to. If we are required by law to keep records, for example invoices once paid plans exist, we keep them for the legal period.

Data outside the EU

Cloudflare, Google and Anthropic are US companies. Where your data reaches them, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses. FACEIT and Paddle are based in the United Kingdom, which has an EU adequacy decision.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or sent to you in a portable format. You can object to anything we do based on our legitimate interests, including your appearance in a replay. You can also complain to a data protection authority. Write to support@moyaics2.com.

Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for your account and the features you use, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for records the law requires, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for hosting, security and replays. Our legitimate interest there is running the site safely and letting players review matches they played or want to learn from.
